Need to become VAT registered?

29.09.2022

HMRC have updated its public notice which deals with the background to how to register for VAT. A useful introduction to the basic rules but often we are asked how quickly a client can expect to receive their VAT registration certificate so it was good to see in paragraph 4.5 that HMRC state they aim to issue the registration certificate within 30 working days of receiving the application. It’ll be interesting to monitor their success at achieving this target date but welcome for business if they succeed.

As a part of the Xeinadin Group we have accountants based across the UK and Ireland that can support businesses needing help with their VAT registration including UK online retailers needing an EU based Import One Stop Shop (IOSS) registration.
