Centurion VAT at BUFDG Tax Conference 2017

02.08.2017

At the recent British Universities Finance Directors Group (BUFDG) TAX Conference 2017 Centurion VAT were invited to deliver a session and choose to ponder “Where is VAT going?”.

It was the first time we had been asked to the conference which was exciting in itself and an affirmation of the great reputation Centurion has in supporting the Education sector in Wales which is now expanding across the UK. The key for us is to ensure that Universities and Colleges are aware they have an increased choice when looking for expert VAT support and are not tied to the Big accounting firms.

Speaking to over 50 University Finance delegates on the day we were delighted with the feedback our session received as we considered the impact of Brexit; Making Tax Digital in the UK; The Office of Tax Simplification review into VAT; SAF-T systems issues coming out of the EU to name just a few of the impact.

Comments from attendees at our session ranged from:

“One of the most interesting sessions that I recall for a number of years” to “Thought extremely well prepared and presented”. Whilst all the comments were anonymous the one that really made our day was this:

“The best prepared and most engaging of all the speakers. I knew it would be good as we deal with Centurion but quite unashamed in saying it was excellent”

It’s when your clients are proud to be associated with the work and service we do that we really do feel Centurion truly is delivering value to its clients and living up to our motto as “Fast, Friendly Efficient, Expert” VAT Specialists.

If your Educational organisation needs VAT support whether on Property development projects, Partial Exemption or Non-Business Methods, Accounting systems issues, Dealings with HMRC or need VAT Training for staff then don’t hesitate to give Louise Gray or Liz Maher a call on 01633 415390 to start the conversation.
